2023 reading goals
I read a lot, but I also have a pretty extreme book acquisition habit. I recently cataloged the books I own but haven’t read (or that I want to re-read), both in physical and e-book form. That catalog is below.
Long story short, there are over 160 books on this list, which is really too many. My goal in 2023 is to start chipping away at that number by reading what I have while minimizing what I add to the list.
We’ll see how that goes. I’ve almost finished my first book from the back catalog, and I’m adding new books to a wish list instead of a shopping cart, so I guess it’s working so far.
How many books will I read this year? Not sure. I’ve never been really great about tracking that. I usually have two or three books on the go at any given time, and I really have no idea how quickly I read. I’m going to try keeping track this year, and I’ll consider it a win if I get through 50 of these.
